Payment For Stock
As Comic-Centric (The Comic Clinic Ltd) are a UK based company, all items on this website must be pre-paid for in Pounds Sterling (GBP), We currently accept card payments by Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit, and Mastercard Debit through our secure online payment system. We also accept payment by PayPal. We do not accept cheques or money/postal orders as payment, but we do accept bank transfers. All prices on this website are inclusive of any local UK sales taxes that might be applicable.
Grading Of Comics
We have a combined grading experience of over twenty-five years and consider ourselves competent, consistent and accurate graders. That notwithstanding, we are fully aware that not everybody grades comics the same. Even some experts can differ in their opinions on the grade of a comic book. There are also differences in the way different grading companies grade certain flaws and we often see massive differences in grades from third party graders such as CGC, CBCS, PSA and PGX. Grading comics is subjective and not an exact science, even graders from the same grading company will often differ slightly. As such, we do not in any way guarantee that any raw comic book purchased from Comic-Centric that is advertised in a specific grade by us will achieve that exact grade if submitted to any of the third party comic grading companies. We will not offer any refund, reparation or accept returns for any of our raw comics that do not achieve the exact grade as advertised by us unless the third party graders note any restoration or conservation that we did not identify and notify to you in the original comic listing. Where a comic is borderline between one grade and another, we will always quote the lower grade. The general flaws on any comic, such as spine stresses, finger bends etc. are taken into account as part of the grade, however, we will do our best to include photographs/scans of the actual comic for sale and in addition, highlight any more serious flaws, missing coupons or pages, restoration etc.
We want you to be happy with all of your purchase from us and under the Distance Selling Regulations in the UK, you are entitled to return your purchase to us (in the original condition sent) up to 14 days after you receive your comic. After that time it will be assumed that you are happy with your purchase and the comic is in the expected condition.
Availability of Stock
All items on this site are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. However it is our policy to contact you if a product is out of stock and if you do not wish to proceed with the order or for any reason we cannot supply the items(s), we will arrange for the order to be cancelled. Quantities may be allocated at our discretion.
In compliance of the Distance Selling Regulations, customers may cancel their order with us within 14 days of placing the order or within 14 days of the receipt of the goods (whichever is longer). A full refund of the purchase price and any delivery costs will be made provided that the goods have been returned without breach of the statutory duty to take reasonable care of the goods. Goods must be returned at the buyers cost unless found to be faulty.
Exceptional Returns - For orders that are outside of the time-scale of the 14 day returns limit set out in the UK Distance Selling Regulations, cancellations may be accepted subject to a minimum-handling fee of 25% of the invoice price to cover re-stocking and administration costs and at our sole discretion.
Refunds
If for any reason you are issued with a refund, please note the following,
- All refunds will be issued to the same payment method as on the original order.
- When a refund is processed, you will receive an email notification.
- A refund will usually reach your credit card account within 4 working days, please allow up to 10 working days for it to be credited.
- If the item(s) are found not to be faulty or they have been damaged by misuse, they will be returned to you and no refund will be issued.
Liability Except as may be implied by law and except in the case of death or personal injury where the Customer is dealing as a consumer, in the event of any breach of these Terms and Conditions by us the remedies to you shall be limited to damages which shall in no circumstances exceed the price of the Goods and we shall under no circumstances be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages or losses. Prices
We will make every effort to honour the prices shown (E&OE), but reserve the right to alter prices should it be necessary. Prices ruling at the date of dispatch will be charged. We will inform you of any price increases on your order before shipping. You can then amend or cancel your order if you wish.
Exclusions
We reserve the right not to serve any customers at our sole discretion. We strive to provide all of our customers with the best buying experience that we can possibly provide. We will not tolerate abuse of any kind directed towards our staff or company. We will also not tolerate any attempt to defraud us and will respond to such attempts vigorously and with all lawful resources available to us. If you have questions, please ask them.
Drop Ship / Speculative Third Party Sellers
We will cancel any orders that we suspect are from any kind of speculative purchaser who might be advertising items listed on our website in their own websites or eBay stores without permission or actually being in possession of the actual comics. These cancelled orders will be refunded LESS any financial charges incurred by us and will be applied solely at our discretion and the customer will be blocked from our main store and affiliated payment platforms including our PayPal.
IMPORTANT. Due to the complexities of Brexit, Covid, unreliable international shippers and US Tariff tampering, we will currently only ship within the UK. PLEASE do not order from this site if you are a resident outside the United Kingdom. It should not be possible for anyone outside of the UK to place an order, but if it is physically possible (ie VPN and Mail/Parcel forwarding services), we will cancel your order and refund you.
